Historically, Yom Kippur is a Day of Repentance, a time when humans seek divine forgiveness for sin. For Humanistic Jews, the day has a different meaning. We consider Yom Kippur as a time for self-forgiveness and forgiveness of others. Kol Nidre is sung with a modified text in keeping with our Secular Humanistic principles. We echo the Humanistic obligation to keep all promises made in a spirit of justice and caring.

During our memorial service, we honor living and passed loved ones with flowers and personal recollections. Please join us for our reflective and meaningful Yom Kippur services which include readings, poetry, music, and song.
