Rosh Hashanah

The Jewish year begins in the fall with the celebration of Rosh Hashanah on the first day of Tishri. Humanistic Jews recognize the fall festival of Rosh Hashanah as a time of new beginnings. We view it as an opportunity for self-judgment and affirmation that human beings have the power to change, improve, and seek their own happiness. Rosh Hashanah marks a turning point, a separation between the past and the coming year.
