Purim

Purim CarnivalPurim can be compared to Halloween and viewed as a spring carnival for the Jews. We remember the Jewish folk tale of Queen Esther not in a literal sense, but in regards to the principles the story teaches. As Humanistic Jews, we celebrate the rescue from passive despair by brave and bold actions. The entire congregation partakes in the festivities by wearing costumes and engaging in a lively Megillah reading!

Please join us next year for our 2011 Purim party!
