Bar/Bat Mitzvah Services

The future of Or AdamChoosing to become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is an important decision to make. It helps connect you to the past, present, and future of the Jewish people. Humanistic Jews believe that boys, who complete a Bar Mitzvah, and girls, who complete a Bat Mitzvah, should be treated equally and that children of intermarried couples should have equal status, no matter which parent is Jewish.

Typically, an individual completes his or her Bar/Bat Mitzvah at thirteen years of age. However, adults who would like to publicly proclaim their belief in Humanistic Judaism are welcome to become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah as well.
